由交通部觀光局舉辦的「台灣美食經典展」活動進行的如火如荼，觀光飯店加碼推出「飯店品牌日」，於8月18日起，以及接續兩週的星期三、四、五，當日限量搶購獨家飯店餐券。

如果「台灣美食經典展」還吃不夠，還有更多活動等你來！觀光局為延續這股美食熱潮，在9月22日起，至12月7日，推出「美景美食週」，長達3個月的時間，讓你體會台灣傳統料理與美食的美好。
各國家風景區的「美景美食週」皆搭配各自的時令活動，推出各項優惠方案，另外也有加碼拉霸抽獎，有500元、100元的折價券，還有限量一折商品。從9月23日至29日，由澎湖國家風景區推出「2013澎湖沙灘嘉年華活動」，主推桌菜優惠組合，以及多樣伴手禮5折優惠。凡訂購商品即有機會獲得觀光飯店住宿1折的好康。另外還有線上美食地圖與交通路線建議，讓民眾出遊賞美景吃美食都更加輕鬆方便。
9月30日至10月6日為活動第二週，由阿里山國家風景區接力推出系列活動，例如「阿里山新印象：神木下婚禮」活動，也結合周邊產業推出住宿及餐飲優惠，一樣有一折入住觀光飯店的優惠。
其後，馬祖與日月潭等地都有各種活動與優惠，喜歡看煙火的朋友也別錯過日月潭花火節。
